Sunrise/Sunset App?

I'm looking for an iPhone app which will tell the time of sunrise, sunset, civil twilight and sun/moon transit as well as phases of the moon for a given location.

I don't need much more than what is described above and don't mind paying a few dollars for something of quality.

Serious replies and suggestions warmly welcomed.

Weather Underground's web page or app's forecasts show sunrise, sunset, moon phases and moonrise & set.

It's my favorite android weather app for daily and weekly forecasts, and radar. I assume the iphone version is similar.

For example:
First light 6:06am
Sunrise 6:36am

Sunset 8:52pm
Last light 9:22pm

2nd for Weather Underground.

All of the above, plus a good radar, also wind speed and direction, which I check before heading out on a ride.

Ditto for weather underground. It's also a great weather app as you can select stations you want data from rather than getting the generic city weather predictions.

By chance would you know if their information is more accurate than Weather Bug? I've lost count of the number of times WB has shown wind direction is out of the <insert direction here> only to find the exact opposite once I got out on the road. Kind of frustrating when you think you'll have the headwind at the start of your ride only to find that when you turn around now you've got the wind in your face. Grrrrrr!!

I used to like Vela Clock, although it looks like the developers aren't keeping with it. But does what you want.

Timeanddate.com has all this info online for free as well.

Not an iPhone app, so ignore if that's all you're interested in...

I print out a year's worth of sunrise/sunset data from the U.S. Naval Observatory. It's great for commuting (do I need lights?), and close enough for places within a few hours' drive:

Note the site is pretty slow right now, probably has something to do with next month's eclipse.

IndianaRecRider, wind speed and direction are inaccurate for me with Weather Underground, but I haven't found a good source. The problem for me may be that I ride along the Hudson River which is over a mile wide. And we have cliffs and tall buildings along the shore, which makes all kinds of wind currents, so any weather vane might only tell of a very local condition.

I think WU is as accurate as any other, given that conditions can change in minutes, the reporting station might be different from your own location, delays in how WU gets the new info and updates, etc....

I've yet to find any other app that is any better.

For the OP's specific iPhone platform and purpose, Sol
