Dinotte Light Comparision

I have a 400R that I use primarily as a daytime rear conspicuity light.

Can anyone directly compare this to the Quad Red? How about to the "daytime red" model (which appears to be a higher output version of the 400R).

Not too worried about form factor (external battery vs integral) or runtime. I am really just thinking about brightness and conspicuity.

Also, when comparing various options in front lights, can anyone comment on the conspicuity of a white XML-3 or XPL-3 light to something like an amber XPL-3 or an Amber Quad?

Thanks y'all.

(P.S. Don't tell me how much you like your DesignShine. They are out of production and I am not interested in buying a used light. Also, please don't tell me how much you like your ___________ brand light. I am pretty loyal to Dinotte based on their battery quality and customer service (in addition to the quality of the lights themselves). Thanks.)

Thread ride-along: if anyone wants to add comparisons of the Dinotte 300R to the 400R and to the Quad Red as well as the Daylight Only I wouldn't mind.

I've used the 300R as the primary taillight for years, but since it's well off the new market now, I'm curious how the newer models relate to my experience.

I'm also interested in comparisons between the Quad Red and the Daytime Red. I had the Quad Red but it was damaged / destroyed in an accident and am wanting to purchase another. I am leaning towards the Daytime Red as I believe it's 400 lumen -v- 200 on the Quad Red.

Based on the feedback I got from another forum:

1. The 400R daytime is only slightly brighter than the regular 400R.
2. The Quad is slightly dimmer than the regular 400R straight on, but is significantly brighter off-axis.
3. The Quad is slightly brighter than the old 300R straight on.

Based on that I think I will stick with my current light for now.

I think I am gonna spring for a front light though. Just gonna use it for daytime conspicuity, so I think I am leaning towards amber. The little feedback I got from that suggests that the color makes it more well noticed.
