DIY [Solar?] switch?
I thought my Luxos U had bit the dust, but it seems that only the remote switch has bit the dust. I can't use the USB function, but I use it as a headlight. I just can't turn it off. Been thinking there must be some kind of weather-proof switch I can just put between the hub and the headlight, maybe even a light-activated switch that would keep the lights off in the daytime. Just looking for ideas.

You said only the remote switch is bad, does that mean that the on/off switch on the lamp housing is functional? Why not just use that switch instead?
Or, if that switch is also bad, why not leave it on. Several years ago I bought a light in a clearance bin that was sold for bottle generators, no switch. I used that light for a year or two, just left it on. If for some reason I wanted it off, I pulled the connector off of the hub. |
I think something like this would do it.
