Dyno wiring question

I need to reattach the wire for my system. On the downtube I used electrical tape but that is not holding up.
Any suggestions would be great!

I run the wires along with the cables and use heat-shrink to attach it to the outers and small o-rings to attach it to the inners. I use hvac tape to stick the wires to the inside of the fender.

I use gorilla repair tape. Others use helicopter tape. A high quality electrical tape (3M) should work fine, but you probably have to go all the way around the tube.

on my most recent wiring job, I only used zip ties. I went through the head lug and out the back of the bb shell for the DT wire. Not sure I would do that with a welded bike, but for lugged it made sense

I thought it was 3M. I have been running the tape length wise down the underside of the down tube. It seems like Gorilla tape, clear, is only available in 1.88" width.

yes, I trim the gorilla tape to the width I need. Also required are sharp scissors and latex gloves. No electrical tape is going to work in the long direction, you have to wrap it around the tube. Not sure that the repair tape will work that way either, but it's considerably less visible. But it's definitely stickier, so if you want to go lengthwise, it might be worth a try. You probably need to go wider than the width of electrical tape to get it to work. Electrical tape isn't that visible if your bike is a dark color.

It's not pretty, but zip ties work well.

A dab of hot glue might work. It would be pretty invisible.

Either zip tie it to the rest of your cables or take the plunge and run it inside your frame for that really clean look.

Amalgamating / self welding tape is useful for wrapping around tubes or cable housing.
