DIY out front helmet mount for SQ12 camera
Required:
SQ12 camera
small thin square of plastic foam
Goop
Adhesive velcro
Thread cord
Sew on snap
Cut the foam the same size as the back of the camera.
Use a sanding drum in a Dremel to shape the back of the foam to fit the contour of the fron to your helmet.
Glue foam to helmet with Goop.
Cut & apply velcro to camera.
Cut & apply matching velcro to foam & helmet.
Use thread cord to create a layard tied to the helmet and snap.
Use thread cord to create a lanyard tied to camera and matching snap.
Taa Daah!

What's the runtime per charge with the SQ12 camera? How's the nighttime performance -- good enough to identify cars? Asking to ID license plates is probably asking too much -- US plates are too small and reflective and tend to wash out details at night.

Video and audio lost sync. Did YouTube do that? I've noticed that on other uploads to YouTube, even when the original was synced.
Looks like a decent daytime camera, considering the size.
I'm using a pair of Drift Ghost X cameras, front and rear. Excellent values for under $100 each. Good dynamic range even at night, although nothing with a teensy sensor can reliably pick up US license plates. We'll need larger sensors to do that, and those cost a lot more and weigh more.
