Wald Basket--Handlebar compatibility
 

Interested in this basket as it's shallow enough where it won't block my Hub light. My bike handlebar is 31.8mm in the middle but tapers to a thinner diameter towards the grip. The basket specs call for a 1 inch diameter handlebar. Any tips on if I can get this to work on my bike? If you are familiar with the basket, can the clamps be moved laterally along the basket? If yes, then maybe I can get them to attach to the part of the handlebar that is 1 inch round.
