Not Quite What I Intended (Garmin 1030 'Experiment')

Went for a walk this morning with my wife and she was curious about the distance of the route. I gave this no second thought and just started my Garmin 1030 and put it in my pocket assuming that walking was enough to avoid Auto-Pause.

One of many results of this 'experiment' was (after the jostling in my pocket set off all kinds of touch screen selections) to set my Garmin 1030 to some Cyrillic looking language that I did not recognize.

This was not quite what I was expecting (and I continue to HATE touchscreens with a passion, but still like my 1030).

ps. Can you edit the Subject line?

You can set the auto-pause to activate "when stopped" or when it drops below a custom speed you specify.

Thanks for the reminder - I see that option every time I turn the device off but it is not something that I had ever tried out.

I fixed the misspelling. You can report your post and a mod will fix, it's best to say what you want the subject to say.

I had my 800 goof up on a rough rail tail (horses, dangit) but the main result was that it was zoomed out to show the route on the entire world map. Not too useful
