Double-Screw Bar Ends?

2 Attachment(s)
Hi folks. I have some touring handlebars that are all wrapped up. Getting normal bar ends over them for some extra leverage while on tour, would be a very involved process. So I'm looking for some bar ends that possibly have two compression screws to hold on the bar end.

I've included an image of what I'm talking about...but I need two of these fasteners.

Do they exist? I can't find any.

Or, anybody have any other ideas?

Do you want to attach the bar ends over the bar wrap?

I am guessing OP is looking for bar ends that have a removable face plate clamp like most modern stems do. I do not know of any such animal.

No, attached directly to the bar. And yes to Clydeson, a pinching system and not a wrapping system. I've never seen any myself.

chaadster Great find! They look very cool and likely would suit what OP is trying to do!

Very much so. Thank you.

SQ Lab had some carbon fiber ones at one point which, although a single pinch bolt, were claimed to flex enough to go on the bar without having to remove grips/shifters/levers, bit they’re not on the site currently. There may be atock aomewhere, just be sure they’re the CF ones, because the regular plastic ones won’t do that.

I have brakes on the inside of my bars (essentially the actual bar ends). That much flex would be quit a lot to get completely over the diameter of the bar.

One thing to consider with those bar ends that Chadster linked to: it looks like those are clamped to the center ferrule on road bars, with a diameter of 31.8 mm. But if you're clamping to the handgrip area on trekking bars, the diameter is probably 22.2 mm. Which means that without a massive shim, they won't work, and even then, might be unsatisfactory. That is an interesting find though.

Also: it's possible that even if you took off the grips on your bars, the clamps on normal bar-ends wouldn't be able to make it around the bends. But I'm not clear where exactly you want the bar-ends installed, or what hand position you're trying to achieve. There are some interesting alternative handlebar designs out there now that might do what you want.

Not sure where they would go. I was thinking something vertical, but I am not sure as my system is changing with a new iPhone mount, displacing the current GPS mount that doesn't really work too well. The double bolt gives me some options. Fitting and sliding isn't an option as it's currently set up. I'm not changing the handlebar setup as this is the custom bars that I want. This is about my touring hand position options, which are very very important. Options.
