Garmin Varia RDU

Got an Edge 830 and a Varia RTL515, AMAZING! Any advance info I can get and use out on the road is great. Anyway, I picked up a Varia RDU head unit for the light, cant seem to get it to pair with the light, Just get a blue light at the apex of the car track on the unit. Light works great qwith the 830. Any ideas guys?

Why would you want the head unit for the light when you already have an 830? All it does is Monica the radar display on the 830.

I only have the Varia radar without the light. Not quite sure I understand your whole thought process going on in the OP, but as ask by Seattle Forrest why do you need the RDU? Everything will show or can be controlled on your Edge 830.

Perhaps the pairing for the light control on the 830 is separate from the pairing for the radar, or maybe you have to go in under that sensor on your 830 and enable that you do or don't want to control lighting with it.

As for the RDU, you'll have to read the manual.........
