Use ERG file on Wahoo Elemnt Bolt or Roam ?

Revisit of an old problem. Has Wahoo addressed this yet?

I'm looking for a more convenient (Web based) method of moving ERG files to my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt.
I know I can use the Bolt-as-a-thumbdrive method and drop the ERG file into the Plans folder/directory.
But this is getting annoying.

The Bolt will download web based workouts from several paid services.
But paying for training service I don't plan on using seems excessive.

Techie stuff starts here:
Has anyone got a packet capture of a Elemnt retrieving a workout?.
Fingers crossed, I'm wondering if I can spoof the DNS to force the Bolt to look to a local www server for workouts.
If it's a more complex API call, then I'm in trouble, not being a programmer.
