Magicshine headlight replacement mount
I'm looking for an alternative material or a more robust design for a Magicshine Allty MJ-6277 Bike Light Mount Base.
the plastic one that it comes with is easy to damage if you're not careful with it.
If the stock one was made with more material in certain areas I think it would be fine. Ultimately, I'd prefer an aluminum made mount base.
Has anyone found an alternative solution?
Ordered a replacement from the retailer & the ship time is over a month.
Another option that I'd really like is if the Base could be made to use a Cygolite headlight slide mount that directly mounts it to the magicshine housing.
no luck after reaching out to those 3D printing places.

I've had some good luck w/ plastic repairs, what exactly broke?
I did a giggle search for "Magicshine Allty MJ-6277 Bike Light Mount Base" & saw lots of results
does it use the same mount as other Alty(s)? maybe buy a 2nd light & get that in 2 days? Amazon says I can have this one tomorrow
Magicshine Allty Commuter Bike Light
same with this one & it's less expensive
& here is just the mount?

the bolt pattern in unique. it cracks & snaps off the grab wings.
I'm likely to just sell the unit & go with a better fitting durable headlight. The battery life is not as advertised, might be 20% less... & it's super picky with wall chargers & cable. Too much hassle for what it is.

I have a small Alty (diff. model) that I use for small jobs, like if I just want a blinker on the front, or a steady light for short rides where I don't want a blinker, or on a camera stick for hand held nite pics

To ensure clarity of the part in question; it's the "mount base" [ [url]https://magicshine.ca/products/magicshine-allty-bike-light-garmin-mount-base ]
I think the models over "800" lumens use the two bolts whereas the lower outputters use the older single bolt?
You'd think that something so small, made of cheap plastic, & 'light'weight wouldn't cost so much to produce & also be more than a couple dollars to ship.
for about $20.00, I'd expect a way better product, better CS, super fast shipping, & a little bit of warranty against human error for a few months.
