https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-MicroS...d_sim_e_img_10

~$5 USD DUnno.. the price is nice or perhaps I'm out of the loop in terms of memory costs but I thought those memory things tha small normally is like $25ish or so unless there is some 8gb microSD out recent that crushed all the lower memory prices down that I did not know of.

I'm guessing that's right. Memory prices seem very volatile. I bought a similar 2G from Kingstion memory a few weeks ago for $12, and a few days later they were up to $15 or $17.

I purchased a 1G USB stick at Circuit City for $8. 2 weeks ago I purchased a 2G SD card for $15. There getting cheaper by the day. Speaking of USB sticks. I loaded a portable Linux OS called Slax on that 1G USB stick so I can hijack one of the computers at the library when I need to download very large files. They have there computers so locked down you can't do much of anything. There so badly filtered hardly anyone use them. Of the 16 computers available usually only one or two will be occupied. After booting one up on Slax from the USB stick I can do anything I want as Windoze and IE are never booted from the computers hard drive activating all the filtering and fire walling.

That list price ($59.99) is completely ridiculous... If you keep an eye on sites like slickdeals.net (I check once or twice a day) you will regularly find microsd cards ranging from 1-4gb for relatively similar prices. I got a 2gb microsd card for $11 shipped and then a few days later there was another 2gb microsd card for $5 shipped, so now I have two.

The sd cards that are over 2GB use a slightly different technology (SDHC--Secure Digital High Capacity) and you must have the hardware to support it. So if your device isn't compatible with SDHC the highest you can go is 2GB. As far as I know these go up to 8GB which costs about $60 or so.

I'm not sure how much amazon charges for shipping, but I'd say a 2GB microsd card for $15 or less shipped is a pretty good deal and will be pretty easy to find using a deal hunting site like slickdeals or fatwallet.

Kingston has free 3 day shipping at their store:
2GB MicroSD with adapter for $12 or 2GB MicroSD with two adapters (mini and regular) for $13

If you dont want the extra GB:
1GB MicroSD with adapter for $6 or same with two adapters for $7
