Help me build a Cree Taillight.

I'm trying to build a red Cree flashlight to use as a taillight. The light output should be at least 100 lumens, which would be plenty bright for a taillight. I think this is everything I need:

https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1776 Red Cree LED

https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15969 Flashlight shell + clicky switch

https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1885 Circuit board (driver)

I plan to power the light by one 18650 battery. The problem is an issue of wiring. I'm not sure how to connect the LED to the circuit board to the clicky switch. Has anyone tried something like this? I'm guessing I'd need a soldering iron.

why don't you just get one instead

it runs up to about the same, and it's 900 lumen

Thanks for the suggestion, GTALuigi, but that light is mislabeled. The output is much lower than 900 lumens. I feel I could make a better light on my own for less money...

Might you want to get a driver that gives you the option of flashing (also that link is for a 10 pack of the drivers)? DealExtreme has a quite a few strobe capable drivers LINK ranging from several 5-mode ones such as LINK, a 19-mode driver, and even 20-mode drivers.

You probably should read the Reviews for each one to give yourself an idea of what you are getting into, however. Soldering iron, maybe a Volt-Ohm meter, etc.
