I think that was the point since both Fenix lights are rated at 200+ lumens while the Surefire is rated at 120 lumens.

These lights are still available and I'm thinking about trying one on my winterbike commuter. Curious about how well they stand the test of time. It would be great to see a few owner appraisals after long-term use. I'm particularly interested in their performance under all-season commuting conditions and the best handlebar mount to use in winter cold.

After reading through the reviews at the DX site, my biggest concern aside from durability is battery fit. I'd be using Powerex Imedion NiMH rechargeables and they have a slightly larger diameter than some other AA batteries--I know they won't slide into a AA Mini Maglite. Will they fit into this UltraFire model?

I was considering the Romisen RV-235 but decided against it after reading the last post here:
