Would like to see your DIY flashlight mounts
I bought a Q5 Cree flashlight the other day, and am wanting to attach it to my bike. I would like to make my own mount if at all possible. Just looking for suggestions.
Thanks in advance. |
Unless you can make it for less than $1.90, I'd get one of these.

I'm using two conduit clamps bolted back to back. The one for the flashlight is size 0 and the one for the handlebar is size 1. They were about $2.35 for a 5 pack at Home Depot, so I have enough for 5 mounts for about $5. I put heat shrink tubing on them to prevent scratching the bike and light, but you could just as well use electrical tape or duct tape.
I learned about it here on BikeForums. Seach this forum for conduit clamps. |
use 2 of these, one to the bar and one to the light and bolt together, i have mine like this and I can still move and aim them as needed, plus they don't stratch the bars.

Thanks guys for the replies.
Hey Josh, what are those called? Is that the "conduit clamps" the poster above you was referring to? How would you say that mount stands up to bumps? I'm hoping to carry my lights off road. |

Others have made mounts out of old/punctured innertubes...that's the ultimate in free, heh.
