OT Why is there a capacitor on a tweeter?
When you look at stereo speakers, there is a 50v .2uF(?) capacitor on one of the wires going into the speaker. Why? Is it a filter?

You Know!? For Kids!
I believe it filters out bass. I know when I had a system put in my jeep, they capped the speakers in the dash for that reason.

It is a very simple high-pass filter. A high-pass filter lets high frequency signals through, while severely attenuating the level of lower frequency signals (i.e., bass).
