Map Software question

Does anyone know of any software for a PC that does routing with elevation similar to the site www.mapitpronto.com. The elevation chart is what I am looking for. The web version is just too slow and the chart is unreadable for anything of any long distance.

I have been told that Delorme Topo US does this but I also need it to cover Canada, which Topo does not.

Thanks

Jeff

Most any map software will do it. Garmin's mapsource and basecamp does it. You can also upload a gpx file to a site like gpsvisuilizer.

I am asking about the Elevation charting. I have used Microsoft Streets and Trips, Garmin's city program and Delorme Street Atlas. I have not found any of them to have the elevation information.

Thanks

Yes, Garmin has the elevation profile, maybe its only enabled with the topo maps, I have citynavigator NT and topo 2008 loaded on mine.

For Mapsource to do it Topo is required.

Have you looked at bikeroutetoaster.com? It give elevation profiles also.

Delorme Topo Usa 7 has all of that, but only US maps. It is much better than Garmin Topo IMO. And I heard that new version - Topo 8 cover Canada...

Topo 8 has Canadian & Mexican roads, not Topo detail.
It was hinted that Canadian Topo may be a future download.
