depends on the weight balance and handle grip style of the P7 in question.

sure it would work, 1st pothole or bump you hit and you will see if your p7 is impact resistant.

Just get a lockblock, they are cheap and they work..

There are lots of mounts on DX...have you looked ?

Use the Wald bracket and then use two O-rings Dinotte style.

Might be a little large for some single 18650 torches though ?

I've been using a DealExtreme P7 this spring...I know, I know*...and the twofish block has too much vibration for my tastes. I went to BatterySpace for their flash light mount. That one is more solid but the clip seems to be weak. Using the bottom half...the one with the thumb screw...of the clamp, a piece of nylon cut to fit the bottom of the clamp, a flat head screw and the BatterySpace handlebar mount for their halogen lights, I fashioned a good solid mount that slides on and off my existing headlamp mounts.

I made a helmet light from the BatterySpace helmet mount that's even better than the other mount. Using a Cateye reflector bracket, a bolt, a few washers and a nut, I was able to make a mount that tilts and is adjustable. I'll post pictures later.



*Yes, I still use and prefer halogen. However, for the last few years, I have been using LED for spring riding because I just don't want to mess with the larger system when I only need 'some' light for 20 or 30 minutes before the sun comes up. I got some external battery packs and some dummy batteries from Turboferret and I'm going to experiment with the MTE lights I have. But I still like halogen for brightness and color;)

By the way, the MTE 2 mode flashlight is way better than the 5 mode one;)

You can mount the light low with a two fish adapter. The beam spot on my Romison is more eliptical and covers more ground.

I've seen these in another thread, but they don't seem to exist in the uk....

I bought a set of the twofish blocks. Look elsewhere. I have a very small flashlight in mine, and it rotates. Not right away, so it's usable.

The lamps can be easily and quickly removed while the mounting clamps can be left in place so that the lamp doesn't need to be readjusted each time. The mount is also much more steady then the TwoFish blocks. There is very little vibration while riding.

I've found that due to their width and weight the larger brother of the lockblock, the cycloblock, works much better for P7, MC-E, or any 18650 battery light.

-1 again for lockblocks with P7s.

using a pair of lockblocks will work, especially for 2x18650 lights.
