Cateye Strada Wireless Double

Hey guys,

I'm just about to buy a computer for my bike. I had decided on the wireless strada (in white to match the frame of course ), but now I'm considering dropping the additional $AU50 on the double to get cadence as well, partly cos cadence mightn't hurt for training, and I like the sensor being on the stay rather than fork.. my only concern is I'm riding a 61cm cervlo S1, and I'm not sure that this relatively cheap computer will have the range to reach the stay on such a large bike... I'm buying online, so I'll be kind of locked in, anyone got experience?

hmm I'm looking into purchasing this as well. Cat Eye advertises transmission distance up to 40inches - 100cm hope this helps

hmm that's not greatttt, does anyone know how close cateye go with those estimates? I think 100cm would be OK, but only if it really is 100cm haha, it will be cutting it fine

Don't know ... but I can tell you that the computer may be cheap, but it is high quality.

I have the Strada Wireless (not the double), and it is excellent.

I may get the double, for the same reasons you stated.

I have 1000+ miles on my newish plain vanilla Strada Wireless, no problems so far. This is my third Cateye wireless computer since 2001. I still have the first one on spare bike. The second one worked for several years, then button popped out rendering it unusable, after taking several falls onto concrete.

I'm not interested in cadence measurement. All I have to do is look down for an instant to know that I still pedal too slowly and inefficiently. Adding cadence and HR capability seems to be the downfall of many otherwise good-functioning cyclocomputers. Good luck.
