Sigma Computer - Trip Distance definition?

Hi, I just got the Sigma BC 1606L, and I have a question: what does "trip distance" mean. Is it the distance recorded until the computer goes in standby mode, or maybe until x minutes go by after the bike stops moving?

In other words, if I go somewhere and make a stop, how much time until the "trip distance" is automatically reset to 0?

Thanks in advance!

The trip distance is the distance recorded until you reset it. With the computer set on trip distance, press and hold the upper left button and it will reset to zero. If you continue to hold the button, it will say 'All reset' and it will reset trip distance, avg speed, cadence, max speed, etc.

If you don't reset it, it will continue to record trip mileage forever.

Thanks, cyccommute! That's great, I love this computer even more now. :D

No problem. I have yet to figure out a use for the trip up and time up feature, however.

I use them as a second trip odometer, in two years I think i've used the trip up feature once. I've gotten more use out of the trip down feature. Set it to whatever distance you want to go and you can see at a glance how much further it is without any of that annoying math.
