Cateyemicro cc-6000 power question!
My uncle gave me his old Centurion Sport DLX that was hanging in the garage, and it has a cateyemicro cc-6000 cyclocomp on it. I popped in a fresh battery and everything functions according to the manual I found here. The manual tells me how to do EVERYTHING with it EXCEPT how to power it on and off. I let it sit for a couple of hours, no dice. I tried holding different buttons and still no luck. Anyone know how to turn the darn thing off??:crash:
:p |
Anyone?

maybe it's like a watch - just leave it running & the battery lasts for years regardless?

Really??!!
Ooh - I can see THAT'S goin' in "file 13" REAL quick! THX - Anyone else?? I'm about to start cutting wires! (lol)

My Sigma computer, circa I can't remember, but several years old, stays on all the time.
Nevertheless, the battery lasts forever, or so it seems -- well over a year. |
Really?? - OK, I will check it out! BTW, I have to cut SOME wire anyway - turns out (upon checking with a hard drive magnet) that the wires going to both sensors are bad (prob. at the headset tube). I have fiddled with them on the repair stand and I get no reading on cadence (@ the crank) or on MPH/Odometer (at the wheel). If new wire and heatshrink doesn't get'r'done, I will be trying a couple of reed switches from "The Shack". Speaking as a former RadioShack Manager (of two years) - I must say they are going down the tubes by pulling the "Radio" out of RadioShack... Think I might go to Fry's just to tick 'em off! (lol) Thanks, you's guys! (we say y'all down here on the 3rd Coast)
