Make a smartphone to a gps unit

I have an old treo 680 and i want to see if i can make into a gps unit " i dont want to use the phone features "

Check out the Freedom Keychain GPS 2000 and Pathaway GPS software for the Treo. I use this combination for my Centro and it works great.
