If you just want to be a mid level data junkie, then this computer will work fine for you. I just see the GPS stuff with on line analysis becoming the thing, with smart phones becoming the onboard data gathering source rivaling Garmin, and an array of frequently updated apps competing to become the best bike computer. That said, there will always be a place for coin battery powered gear, and the Sigma Rox 9.0 delivers on that with its four watch batteries. Just be patient with the analysis software, it's a bit quirky, but is gradually improving. If you do go with Sigma, buy the newer style with the green color scheme; the silver bezel on the older style wears off quickly as does the silver finish on the chest strap for HRM. |
