POV Lights, Monkey Electric Lights
I've been thinking about getting some cool lighting for my bike. I participate in Bike Party, If anyone knows about it. And well, iv seen some pretty cool lights on a bike. I was wondering if anyone knows how much a monkey electric light costs thats not bought off the internet. and i was also wndering about POV lights. those any good?
which is better, monke electric lights? or POV lights? |
I have a set of Monkee Lights on my commuter. They are not cheap, but they sure do light you up. I bought mine direct off the Internet....shipment was prompt and professional. The web site says you can run one board per wheel, but two boards looks better. Two boards do look great! I tried to run one board per wheel, and I strongly recommend that you don't do that. The wheel at speed, rides very unbalanced.....feels like you are constantly surging and then slowing down, as the weight near the outside of the wheel is out of balance. I changed that immediately to two boards per wheel, exactly offset, and they work fine. Have also noted that the advertised run time per set of batteries is very conservatively stated. I am getting about 50% longer life span from a set of batteries than they advertise....which is great! (3 AA batteries per board)

I bought a set of Monkee lights for my wife's commuter. I think they cost too much, but she looks so cool, and so happy with them maybe they are really worth it. i know the middle school kids are blown away when she rolls in.

Take a look at these. Inexpensive and the red BikeGlow that I got works great.
