HRM/Cyclocomputer that exports data. Bang for the buck

Pretty simple question, which cyclocomputer with HRM/Cadence/Altimeter exports usable training data?

I do not need GPS tracking. What are the must have features I should be asking for in a unit? I am not racing, but I am serious about improving and possibly racing in a few years.

I am looking for an inexpensive unit that is reliable. There are so many cyclocomputers available it is difficult to finalize a selection without real-user feedback.

Reviews on the GPS 305 appreciated.

I train with the Garmin Forerunner 405 with the cycling kit and foot pod. It works great for cycling and running but you can't swim with it so it's not as good on race day if you are doing Triathlons.

Thanks for feedback. Does the Forerunner 405 /w Cycling kit read cadence? I assume it reads both Cad/Wheel Speed with the kit.

What was the purchase price to achieve the setup?
