Recommend a Cyclocomputer for My Requirements?
 

I’m looking for RPM and speed mostly, because I have no idea what I’m doing. I would also like the time, riding time, and distance traveled. Data transfer I would really like. Heart rate I would like but I don’t need it and I think it’s expensive. I don’t need GPS, a calorie counter, or altitude. Budget I would like $50 but I’m flexible. $80 is OK but nothing over $100. At minimum for the display, I would like the RPM and speed to show but with the other data recordable or viewable somehow. More data outputted on the screen the better. I like numbers. Is wired more reliable and cheaper? Wired wouldn’t be a problem. Used or refurbished models are OK.

Also anyone try VeloComputer? I have an S60.

I know the CatEye Strada (with Cadence - they make one without) will do that, although I'm guessing there are less expensive models around.

You should probably get the cheapest computer you can find that does Cadence, and then consider a GPS and HRM down the line.

I will shill for Cateye. Many of their models would hit most, if not all your requirements.

The reason I shill is their customer service is very good.

I damaged my computer unit (my fault, not theirs) and they sent me a refurbished unit for free. Others on BF have had similar experiences.

I have had both wired and wireless models. There are pluses and minuses to both. I wouldn't sweat that as a big issue.

I would like one with data transfer as well. The Strada is awesome but does not have that one killer feature.
