Garmin Forerunner 201 users...

is there a way to have this unit navigate me along a previous route? I rode with a group on some forest roads, and it tracked my route. I can view it on my history, however, i cannot find any way to have the unit keep this on the screen while i travel along so that i can follow that particular route.

That would be incredibly cool but the Forerunners weren't designed to be navigation tools, they only use the GPS to track your position and based on their sampling rate determine your approximate speed and then, using the Training Centre software translates that into a map of your ride. To be able to provide navigation assistance you'd need a bigger display, built-in mapping etc. and I don't think even their navigation units could accommodate what you're looking for as they only map roadways.

Would you really want to be referring to a GPS navigation unit while riding your bike? You're going to miss a lot of the scenery and, I suspect, it would be a major distraction......

Well, what i had to do was go out and buy the $40 serial to USB converter cord. After an hour or 2 and finding a windows based laptop, i was able to download the route onto Garmin Connect (really cool actually, im very excited about it), and made my own cue sheet
