NEW Light - Holy XXX, it's bright - 5x MC-e - 1300 OTF Lumens

Just received my new used light from a fellow CPF'er.. 5x - MC-e - very well regulated - custom build..

1300 OTF Lumens w/18650 cells or 1500 OTF using LR123's.. These are the sellers numbers.

Video link is attached.. This light is easily 2x as bright as my brightest light and can throw 100 meters with ease.. Video should be up soon, going riding to see if runtimes are legit, he says 90 minutes with 2 - 18650 - 3000 mah cells.. Bringing backup set to be sure..

while the video is processing, enjoy one of my older videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5z1SMBKGfU

yeah, that mountain lion looks like he was getting cooked in front of all those lumens

How is the hot spot on it? Say like it is mounted low to the ground such as on the forks and more parallel to the road. Is there enough flood in front and also provide a good throw?

The hot spot is incredibly bright, pointed at 15-20 yards it will fill 2/3 of a car lane.. Last night when using it I could see thing much further down the road, that I normally would not see with my MS light and R5 combo that I normally use on rides.. The only downside is that using lockblocks, the light does bounce because of the weight.. I bought the light from a CPF member that had it specially built up. He told me that it does not use MC-e leds which he initially told me but uses Alpha G8 leds, which are rated at 300 lumens each.. He said Romisen sells a similar light that has 5 - R2 leds but is not as bright..

For what I paid - $60.00 it was a bargain and the brightest light in my stable.. He broke down the price and said he had 130.00 into the light. It is a single mode light, so no mode switching problems.. Bought a couple of mounts last night, we'll see if they work out with the longer - heavier light..

Some lights are real hit and miss and I feel this is a big hit.. He rated the light at 26000 lux at 1 meter..

For $60 that is one heck of a deal. If you didn't get it, I probably would have tried to get it myself

I was thinking of a set up with those two 18650 lights. I thought of using the Topeak extender mounted on the stem with the bar running parallel with the stem. The Topeak can do that. Then use 2 Two fish bike block (not the Twofish block). Have one on each side of the extender to keep the light from juggling. The extender tilt angle can be adjusted in this method for far or near aiming of the beam. Only draw back is the mount setup will cost about $35-40.

Edit: looking at my topeak extender, not sure if the bar can tilt because it use a square piece in the slot. However it will work if that piece were to be rounded off.
