Cyclo-computer powered AAA
Is there any cyclo-computer which used AAA for power, instead of freaken button battery? I'm looking for simple, wired and want to use rechargeable battery.
Thanks |
Why the aversion to the button battery? They last for many months on a wired computer. I have one That's almost two years old and it still works. Wired computers don't use very much power.

AAA rechargeable cells would require more frequent replacement/charging unless you used a low self discharge cell such as Sanyo Eneloops. Also the computer body would be way too big for most folks. Current draw is in the same range as a watch so button cells are the most compact and logical solution.

The last bike computer I had that used AAA was a Cateye from the 1980's..

I did it about a year ago on one of my bikes and so far it had held through rain and shine. http://www.flickr.com/photos/77449103@N00/5196726140/http://www.flickr.com/photos/7744910...n/photostream/ |
