GeoManGear is back

I got an email from them last night saying they are back, but no news on the battery recall. Anybody else get this?

Nothing yet. I did get the earlier email discussing the battery issue though.

I'd like to get two MagicShines, what else do I need to run both of them from one battery? Also, how long will the battery last if I have two 1400w MagicShins hooked up?

Last email I got from them was 10/8/10 announcing new packages. Previous to that was 11/15/09 when they shipped my order.

Anyway, I read a thread on MTBR about Geomangear being back. It discussed a new light set from BikeRay and a German battery pack made by Open Light. Those are both available on their website now.

I'm torn between getting a 2nd magicshine or the BikeRay.

Either way I'm buying from Geoman.

I've had nothing but good experiences.

Treat me right and you've got a customer for life.

A free replacement battery would just be icing on the cake.

I got the e-mail today. I'm standing by to see what will happen.

I'm into my second season of after-work rides at night (winter mode) with the MS 900. No problems so far.

I was planning to get a new battery, but with the daylight saving time change coming up in less than three weeks, it's a mute issue until this Fall.

The spec-sheet says the new battery packs will be built with Panasonic cells.

I imagine the cells have some measure of quality control.

And beside for not being able to talk (mute), it's also a moot issue.

Got the e-mail about the german batteries being available but not on the recall, seems they are too pricey to be the replacement for the crappy battery. Kinda makes me wonder if the replacement will be any better than the original.
