Cat eye Strada Wireless Vs Double Wireless
Whats the main difference?
Are they Good computers? Going on my Clyde Ride |
Double wireless is the more expensive out of the two since it offers cadence, which is really your pedaling efficiency. Cateye has been around forever and are as dependable as they get.

I have the double strada and my wife has the strada wireless. I also have a wired strada on my second bike. Some people report unreliable signals caused by interference, but we have never experienced interference.
I find it frustrating to link the double strada speed and cadence sensor to the computer. It never seems to work as the instructions indicate, so I end up just messing around with it a bit and it magically works. I like having the cadence, but if you don't want that feature the strada wireless is a lot easier to setup. Both seem to be reliable and I like the small size of the computers. |
I have one of each, on different bikes.
Excellent. No problems with either. I now prefer the double wireless, because the sensor is hidden away on the left rear chainstay. It is not a small sensor, however. To be honest, it is possible I could put the sensor on the non-double wireless on the rear tire, but I've not tried it. I've always heard it was best to get the sensor as close to the head unit as possible. The double wireless doesn't seem to mind the distance, though. These are nice computers — I especially like the E-Z2Read big numbers, and the no-button face. |
I have both love them. Recommend the double for cadence really improved my cycling.

I went with the double wireless, and installed it Sunday

It's too late to change your mind, but I'm a big fan of my wired strada cadence. works much better than my last (cheap and crappy) wireliss computer (not to say all wireless computers suck, and come to think of it, I kind of liked the bogus 82 mph top speed on my last one).
