Decent heart monitor for around $50.

I have a heart condition and would like to buy a heart monitor without breaking the bank.Is there a decent heart monitor for around $50?

I use the "next to cheapest" Timex. It lets you see Max HR and average HR and functions like a stop watch as well. I've been using mine for years and years. And you can mail them back for a a battery change for $10.

I bought a watch from a mens watches collection a year ago for $130 and theres a heart monitor included. I use it daily so you can look for a watch including a monitor?

I use the Sigma DTS 1706 HR bike computer. It's on sale for $49 at Nashbar right now. It sometimes loses signal both on speed and HR, but overall, it works well. I've used mine for over 1500 miles. I recently replaced the batteries. They're the same batteries that most 3d tv goggles take.

If you google up precision XT heart rate monitor, you'll find a cheap heart rate monitor sold under several brand names. I have one that works pretty well. It will sometimes give me unrealistic results, but generally works well.

I also have one of the cheaper Timex HRMs. It is more reliable, but doesn't have many features.

Either of these are probably about as good as you can get for less than $50. The next step up (about $120) gets you into HRMs with better communication between the transmitter and watch, like the Garmin FR60 with ANT+.

Look on ebay for a Suunto T1 or T1c, strap is long enough for a clyde.. The battery in strap and Watch are easily user replaceable with cr2032's..

Where can you buy one of these? I've seen them on the Wal-Mart website, but haven't seen them in stores.
