Moving from Garmin Edge 500 to 800

I have a Garmin Edge 500 with cadence/speed sensor. If I upgrade to the 800, do I need to re-install the cadence/speed sensor?

Thanks

you'd have to re-scan so the 800 recognizes it.

Got it, so I don't need to physically reinstall the sensor, just a matter of rescanning for it?

Why are you thinking of upgrading?
