B&M cyo handlebar mount with oversized bars
 

Hi,

My bike doesn't have a fork crown hole so I want to mount my cyo to my handlebars. Unfortunately the only mount I could find won't fit my oversized bars.

Is there another mounting option / bracket (I'm in the UK)?

You know, I know for sure it can be done because when I first got my winter bike I specifically had it mounted on the handlebars.

Unfortunately, I don't 100% remember how the bike shop did it...I think maybe they took a standard reflector bracket (the piece used to hold a reflector onto your front handlebars, which bikes shops here at least usually have a bazillion of) and mounted it using that, attaching the standard Cyo light mount to the reflector bracket via the screw. However...like I said, I'm not 100% sure about that, but I figured I would reply since no one else has.

That being said, I later moved the Cyo down to being mounted on the top of the fork as it turned out handlebar mounting was a slightly terrible place to mount the Cyo. I found myself in a difficult situation having the light mounted on the bars - either I was really, really blinding pedestrians, or the light was tilted down to much and didn't have enough throw for my taste. So I moved it down to fork mounting it and it was definitely better - still wish I could point it up a bit more, but being physically lower I can aim it higher without the brightest part of the beam hitting people in the face and it's good.

Of course...maybe you don't bike as fast as I am or as picky as I am and mounting it on the handlebars would work, thus I mentioned the reflector mount. :D :D :D

Unfortunately I have disc brakes with no v-brake posts.
