5W, 270 Lu Chinese Light

Well, I bit. I bought a 5 watt, 270-lumen LED light for 3 bucks (ten bucks to ship) out of China. It amounts to a flashlight with a handlebar mount. I compared the light output to my 1 watt Bontrager headlinght and they are identical. Save your money!!!!!

Chinese lights are hit or miss. I have had really good luck with mine, but I only buy lights that are recommended by other people. budgetlightforums.com is the place to find which lights are awesome and which should be avoided.

a1penguin, that's good to know. I have a BikeRay III light that is Chinese and I can't say enough good about it. Given the price point ($149.00) for 1300 lumens, it's a bargain. I have used it in the heat of summer and now in the cool of fall and I'll be curoius to see how the battery holds up when it gets really cold.
