wireless computer
 

i'm having trouble with a previously trouble free trek insite9 computer. had it mounted on my suntour fork about half way on the spoke radius. seems like since i upgraded to a rockshox dart3 fork that i lose contact or get intermittent contact with the pickup/transmitter. i placed the pickup on the leg in the same location and didn't move the magnet. i have adjusted the pickup so i have 1-2 mm of clearance just as with the suntour setup.
fresh batteries top and bottom didn't improve things.
i'm wondering if the new forks perhaps offer more interference with the signal. the reciever is on the same side as the magnet/pickup. i'm wondering if i were to move the magnet closer to the rim which would bring the transmitter closer to the handlebar would help?
any thoughts?
