Cateye Wireless Computer CC-MC100W
I had a question for y'all. I bought a Cateye Wireless Computer CC-MC100W on Ebay brand new. It came in and there is one line jacked up on the LCD display. I contacted the seller and they offered to send me a replacement one. I just received it and the same scenario. Jacked up line on the LCD display.
Was this common with these computers? How long does it take to get a part repaired under warrantee with Cateye? |
I've never had such an issue with a cateye and I've had a lot of their computers over the years. In fact, I just got one of those Micro's the other day in a trade with another BF member. I've seen other products with messed up displays, however. Perhaps the ebay seller somehow had a batch that failed QC and were then tested and sold as refurbs?
Can you take a photo of the bad display to post? |
Right on. Thank you. I figured Cateye was not the cause of the problem but had to ask if this was standard for them. The seller stated it was brand new and not a refurb. This is in their listing "NO refurbs or factory seconds, just brand new items straight from the manufacturer!" I am not sure how to feel. The seller actually sent me a new computer while I still had the original. Unfortunately both are broke. Any idea how long it takes Cateye to return fixed items?

Afraid not. I've never sent one for repair. Any that have failed on me have been long out of warranty when it happened.

Right on. I purchased the Cyclemeter app for my iPhone and will use that while I get this Cateye situation figured out with the Ebay seller. Who know, I may not want a computer by then and be happy with the iPhone app anyhow.
Thanks again. |

Ya, I am not going too far. Mostly to track progress on commutes or short jaunts around town. I am doing 22 mile round trip runs to work and back. That is the furthest my little legs can carry me. I am running a MTB so really long road journeys are not going to happen any time soon. I plan on charging the phone after I get back to work after my morning trip which will leave me with plenty for the ride home where I can charge up again.
