Switching connectors on hub motor
I am planning to switch out the Anderson Poles connectors for bullet type.
I have a brushless Nine Continent motor with 3 wires. Do I need to be concerned on which side i install the male or female connectors? I believe at this time the males are on the motor wires and the females on the connecting longer frame wires going to controller. |
it doesn't matter, although it might be better to have the females on the controller side to lessen the chance of shorts. I generally prefer powerpoles, is there a reason for switching?

Switching out connectors
Since I got the system I've had problem with a good connection on at least one of the wires that run from the motor. I need a connection that's less tempermental although to look at the Anderson poles one would think that would not be the case. Maybe who ever made it goofed somehow but it is what it is. I'd like a more secure connection. I also liked the streamlined look of the bullet type vs poles.

there are powerpole copies out there, so it's possible they aren't that good. If they snap together you have a good connection. The bullets do seem to be a highly refined system that nobody has really managed to screw up too badly as long as you buy both sides from the same company
