mounted bike pump recomendations?
 

Just bought my first bike in 20 years and would love some recomendations for a mounted bike pump or a mini i guess. theres just to many options online! lol It doesnt have to be a top of the line or high priced. Just need some brands and option recomendations for around $20-30. thanks

I prefer to keep mine in my rear trunk bag. This is way it stays clean and travels with me regardless of what bike I choose to ride.

Topeak Road Morph with gauge is great, I totally agree. It's like a mini floor pump, so much easier to use than standard mini pump.

I have a Lezyne Pressure Drive, small. My bike frame is not all that large and the small is fine. I've used it a couple of times on 700x25 road tires. It mounts to the bike at the water bottle screws. I'm happy with mine.

Zefal HPX. Full size frame pump. Best ever, period. 30+ years of use and still as good as day one.

+1 on Topeak Road Morph. May cost more than what you have budgeted but it will get the job done as opposed to a lot of other mini pumps. Mount it on your seat tube or down tube but you will need to use a different mounting bracket than what it comes with.

^A mounting bracket like this is what you need, has a nylon strap that secures the pump and it bolts on under your bottle cage.

Comes with a gauge and acts like a mini floor pump, in that you put the base on the ground and use it like one. Has a built in gauge and can pump up to 90 psi. Well within your range at $17. Mine has had a ton of abuse and looks like hell from all the times I've used it on rough pavement but works 100%. I love it and would instantly replace it with another if need be. Comes with mounting hardware.

Also comes with a patch kit and tire levers, but these are for emergency use at best and don't work as well as a quality patch kit and good metal levers.

I've owned both the road (with gauge) and mountain morph pumps and they're still going strong. I don't have to have the models with the gauge as I usually just "eyeball" the pressure with thumb and forefinger and top off at home with the gauged floor pump. Having said that, I've been rocking a Topeak Mini Morph on my commuter lately. It has all the features I need in a smaller package than its bigger brothers. Perfect for that unused water bottle mount or in a pack or back pocket :):thumb::D:
