Universal Tablet Mount (non-iPad) for Tricycle and ASUS Padfone

Hi. I'm thinking of getting a new ASUS Padfone LTE (monthly Amazon payments) when it comes out in Q3 of 2012 and will be getting a new 3-Speed Sun Tricycle Traditional 24 (white; my mom, dad, and me will split the cost of the tricycle in three ways), so I'm wondering if there are any universal tablet mounts that the ASUS Padfone can fit in?

I'd like to use the Padfone Station for large screen speedometer/GPS/compass while having 1 SIM card for phone and tablet. Yes, you can dock your phone into a tablet and your phone becomes a tablet, which swayed me to buy my new dream phone without a contract since I'm going with a $30/month Monthly4G plan from T-Mobile.

At first, I was thinking about getting a Galaxy Nexus phone, but that would be obsoleted by the upcoming Samsung Galaxy III which makes me put my eye in, but what I did not know is that ASUS is coming up with a phone + tablet dock + keyboard dock called a Padfone and even though I'd be swayed to go with a large 16x9 phone with a 4.6 or 5" screen (only rumors, by the way), I will have a hard time keeping my eye in announcements by Samsung or any others that will come up with top-of-the-line specifications! So anyway, at least I don't have to buy a separate tablet with its own CPU, GPU, storage space, and I don't have to worry about synchronizing between a phone and tablet.

Yeah, I know. I swayed away from the topic of universal tablet mount for a tablet that goes in the handlebar of a tricycle or bike, but the ASUS Padfone really caught my eye. :)

I have seen some recent discussion of universal smart phone handlebar mounts. I don't have a link, but I am sure if you search the forums you can get some good links. As far as the tablet I have not heard of seen of a handlebar mount even for the IPAD. You might have to make something out of wood.

Congrats on the trike. Have you seen these folding trikes ? I think there pretty cool. They are a little smaller but are quality made and it is easier to store or transport in a trunk on occasion. Good luck in your quest.

I have a Worksman Port-O-Trike 3-Speed Tricycle purchased from Wal-Mart's website and my mom and dad told me that the tricycle is too short for me; plus the frame of the trike is not rigid and the right rear wheel got bent and the wheel got punctured and cannot be fixed. I've been looking for 20" wheels in Amazon, but they are hard to find. I did raise the stem and saddle to compensate for the shortness of my trike, but the frame does not seem to be rigid and stable for a man weighing 240 pounds.

So when I went to The Great Bicycle Shop, I test-rode the tricycle and without any adjustments made to the trike, the Miami Sun tricycle fit just right for me.

Isn't biking a time to get away from technology and enjoy nature!?

To me, atleast

Isn't it the time to take off all of the gadgets like AM/FM stereo, air conditioner, map navigation system, DVD player in the back of the seats, and anything off the cars!?

The bottom line:

To each their own!!!

Gee whiz man... What's the problem with you people who don't want gadgets in a bike? If there are so many gadgets in a car, why can't I in a bike or trike!?!?!?

Whew... This is not the time for bickering. Please take that question somewhere else. Please?

Back in the day you used to mount a map on your handlebars on a kind of lectern. Search on things like bicycle map mount, bicycle map holder, bicycle map case. Some store the map in a weather proof case, which should help with the tablet phone combo. BTW that tablet phone combo is the best idea I have seen since ipad, apple should be worried.

I'm having trouble searching with the keywords you've listed, but I found something which will not waterproof the tablet phone combo:

What do you think? The photos tell me that it can be adjustable.
