Interloc Zero Drag Dynamo Hubs

Can't seem to find any reviews. Anyone here have experience with them?

No experience, but it is probably the same "game changing" hub that V-O sold. Made by Shutter Precision out of Taiwan. Supernova has a version as well.

Try the "Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets" forum here. They are far more likely to have experience with this hub.

I assume it's the SP hub. Lots of people like those. Here is a link to a blog post about the non-clutched SP hubs, I am pretty sure there is a later post about the one in the OP. The only advantage I see to the hub with a clutch is that it has a little better flange spacing. It's a lot heavier though

Intreloc/IRD is a brand name owned by the Importer- distributor Merry Sales,
in No. Cal. POE , Oakland.

they own the Soma brand too all Taiwan Imports.

so rebranding a SP TW hub sounds about right..

And if an importer (Supernova, V-O, IRD, etc) orders enough of an item, they can get some customization done to the hub, different colors, slightly different machining, different laser etched logos, etc. There is little reason to suspect that this hub is any different than the Shutter Precision hub, as there is no one else making a switchable hub. The Supernova looks different, but the differences look superficial. The weight is in the same ballpark as the IRD and V-O versions of this hub. If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, it is most likely a duck.

Ask IRD what country this hub originates from.

It would probably make sense to check the reviews of the "other" hubs, the V-O and Supernova. V-O was the first on the North American market, there should be some reviews.

Edit: OK, there is another switchable hub, the Renak Enparlite. It looks different than the other hubs I've listed above.

pretty clear the IRD hub is the SP switchable hub. Go to this link and click on the "switchable dynamo hub" tab
