a question for DiNotte lighting's users please:

do you have to unmount the battery and lighting with all the velcro straps and all each time you park your bike outside (or even just for charging the pack at the end of the day) or do you have a system to attach the battery packs as well as the engines to the frame with something of a quick-release mechanism?

They're like any other light in the world, held on with o-rings and velcro straps.

They are made as quick-release as is practical already; if you want to prevent theft, then you must remove them, or secure the entire bike in an office, room, etc to which you alone control the keys to the door lock.

I use a Dinotte L140 tail light - the light is always attached to my rear rack with O-Rings. I put the battery pack in a trunk bag (Arkel Tail-runner). I commute every day, and in the winter that means that my ride to/from work is in the dark. One charge on the battery pack lasts for the week, so I take it out and recharge over the weekend.

I park my bike outside at work, but it is a relatively secure facility, and I have never had an issue with anybody messing with the bike. If I am going to leave the bike parked outside for a long time, I will find a more secure place to park it like https://bikelink.org

We've got a 300R on the tandem. We don't generally have the bike out of sight and I leave the light on, but I almost always remove the Garmin 800, while the 705 stays on (don't ask me why).
