The thing I've noticed about the micro-USB ( male plug ) is that they are extremely flimsy. If you put any kind of lateral stress on the cord ( plug ) while being used in the device the thin metal of the plug can easily break or short out. I've owned my android less than a year and already I've had to replace the car charger for this very reason.

A while back I noticed that people when driving will sometimes throw an item out the window that has failed to work. I can't tell you how many old CD's and cassette tapes I've seen laying on the side of a road. The newest item added to this list are now the micro/USB car chargers. Already I've seen at least two. If someone thought having micro-USB as a base standard was a good idea they might want to rethink that.
