Helmet PHONE Camera Mount? (Android/Generic, not iphone-specific)
 

Looking for one so that I can do Google+ Hangouts with friends in Asia while riding my bike here in the US. Don't want to wait for a $1500 Google Glass kit.

Has anyone tried something similar? thanks!

You want to be able to look at your phone's screen while you're riding? It'll have to be at least 16" away from your eyes so you can focus on it. Google glasses project a virtual image at infinity so it's in the same focal plane as the scenery. You don't need to change focus to see it. And it's semi transparent so you can see through it. That's quite a bit different than hanging a phone on a stick in front of your face.

I just meant on top of the helmet, I don't need to see it. Quick on quick off would be a plus. I'm gong to try an old helmt mount for a "flip" video camera along with a tripod adapter, see if my phone will survive :)
