the note 2 and GS3 (and older) devices require an ant+ usb2 dongle along with a bit of software to let apps read it... but the note3 and gs4 and newer samsung devices have ant+ built in... honestly ant+ is the one big draw samsung still has on me, but I will likley just go with a garmin and then some other brand of phone
also of note... there is a way to get ant+ on the nexus 5, HTC ONE and a number of the LG devices https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....antplus&hl=en
I think as time goes on the BTLE is becoming a smarter option if you don't intend on going to an ant+ enabled system (garmin edge) in the future... |
