garmin 510 Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor NONE ZIP TIE mount?

Is there a solution to mount the Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor to my bike without using zip ties? I recently built a really nice bike but I don't want to scratch it up with the zip ties. I also want to be able to transfer from bike to bike with ease.

The garmin 1000 has the rubber band like mounts. Is there anything out there for the garmin 500/510 Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor?

Thanks!

Edit:

will this work with the edge 510?:

You can use the new 1000 sensors with the 500/510/800/810 but not with the older 705.

Or you can put some 3M clear on the stay to keep the zipties from damaging the finish- the same stuff they use on the front end of cars to protect the paint.

Adhesive backed velcro on the stay and back of sensor for quick and easy transfer?

I know Bontrager makes an ANT+ sensor designed not to use zip ties
Bontrager: Interchange Digital Combo Sensor (Model #11323)

Of course if you already have the Garmin one you might not want to buy another.

How many bikes are we talking about? With careful searching, you should be able to get 2 of the older sensors for the costs of one of the Garmin 1000 sensors. If it's only 2 bikes, throw a sensor on each and don't worry again about getting the positioning just right every time you switch bikes.

Just two bikes. I'm going with your approach. I'll leave the old sensors on my old bike and buy a new set for my new bike. That way I can just transfer over the 510.

Off the topic, does anyone know a garmin mount that will fit the zipp vuka sprint handlebars? I totally forgot and ordered a normal barfly

I wonder if the new cadence sensor would work if you attached it to your shoe? With GPS I find I don't really need the speed sensor, and don't miss it on the two bikes I have without it.

edit: Looking at it I'd say no. It probably relies on orientation change, not just circular movement.

Wahoo's rpm cadence sensor would work for that, it uses accelerometers and can work just fine attached to a shoe.
