Bike 'Puter - Total Ascent Stats
Total ascent or total climb is about all I'm looking for in a bike computer; any tips on the best Mavic, Cateye or Garmin for that purpose is much appreciated. Don't want or need the heart rate monitor, but don't know if I can get the one without the other. Thanks! Duane

There's the Garmin Edge 200: Garmin Edge 200 In Depth Review | DC Rainmaker
I would recommend moving up the to the Edge 500/510 though. Even if you're not planning on a HRM, at least you can run speed/cadence in the future. The 500 also has a barometric altimeter so you'll get more reliable elevation data while you're riding. |

With the Bluetooth connection on the 510 to my phone, I just finish the ride click save and the rest just happens (most of the time). |
My Garmin Edge 500 is consistently 20-25% low on elevation gain. When you upload to Garmin Connect you can choose to enable altitude correction.
