I read the thread in more detail. Since the bases of the reflector and the flare mounts can be disassembled, I think all you would need to do is to build a product similar to the Trek Madone Light Mount Varia Insert, except make the insert a GoPro attachment instead. Does that make more sense? If not, I can take a picture of what I mean tomorrow.
Right now, Trek makes an attachment for a front GoPro mount on the 2016 Madone, but there is no way to put a GoPro on the rear with the current bases provided which is a shame because that would be such a great and convenient spot for a GoPro (even better than under the saddle using current mounts like the K-Edge).

That is what I was thinking but wasn't sure how I was going to design it. I have a couple of ideas that I will work up in the next couple of days and post the renders, Send me a PM with you email address and we can discuss this further.

Trek Madone 9 GoPro Insert
By request, finally a GoPro mount for the rear reflector/Flash Tail light mount of a Madone Series 9. This was a design I was sitting on about 4 versions of, not knowing how I wanted it to work and look. There just isn't a lot of room to work with to make this sturdy and shake free.
This mount is just an insert into the existing Trek tail light mount supplied with all Trek Madone 9 Series bikes. You have to disassemble the Trek supplied mount and provide an M4 x 10 button head screw as well as an M4 nylon insert lock nut to secure the insert in the Trek part. There is approximately 2 inches (51 mm) of clearance from the Trek seatpost to the backside of the mount, once installed on the bicycle. This will be up for sale in a couple of days. If you need a second Flash mount, it is available from your local TREK dealer and is part number W516121.
The insert is available here.

I didn't know people still used the original Virb. Had a request today for this
It let's you use an OutFront style mount made for the Varia (Garmin Socket on top, plug on the bottom) and mount the original Virb 2-prong mount. It is located here.

Wahoo ELEMNT
I know there have been a few people asking about the Wahoo ELEMNT mount. I was doing some internet searching today and found out Wahoo has a repository with 3D model files for the Quarter-turn section of their mount. It was mentioned that it was for manufacturers to use so they can quickly integrate the Wahoo mount into their existing product line.
Well since I have the files now and have made the necessary modifications needed to 3D print the mount. If there is any need for Wahoo stuff, just let me know and I will see what I can do about it.

ELEMNT user here, but sadly I can't think of anything useful other than the fact that I'd like another stem mount.
I should just buy one!

And Cycliq finally decides to change the mount on the Fly6. Looks better than the last version, but why couldn't they just make a GoPro mount and be done (perhaps add a lanyard hole while they were at it).

I broke my Fly 6 and was considering buying another, but they just weren't available. I wondered if they had a new version coming out. I guess they do. Have you seen the attachment? Is there a way it could be attached to a rack instead of the seat post? Via a 3D printed something that makes it fit a go pro mount? I can't tell from new marketing images.

I am not 100% but thought the new FLY6 mount was just slightly longer. I could be wrong on this.

Wahoo ELEMNT to GoPro Mount Adapter
If you ever thought you wanted to mount your Wahoo ELEMNT on an existing and ubiquetous GoPro style mount, maybe this is something you would like.
I have had a few requests for the ELEMNT and Wahoo had the forethought to allow direct downloads of their mounting system 3D CAD files. I made the necessary modifications to allow for 3D printing and this is the first result. Click here.

Thanks for the praise, but I am just doing my part to further the love of cycling. One day I will write up my story about how cycling literally saved my life.
I am going to look at the Cyclic site and try to find out how they changed the mount.
Wow, they sure are proud of their strap mounts, couldn't find it on Amazon but found the Adapter Pack on their site $35 shipped.

They're calling the new one the Fly6V, I'm guessing for the velcro strap. So there's no longer that stupid plastic mount they had to grenade mid ride and drop your camera (I can testify), but the current 3D mounts aren't going to work with the V version (from what I see on their site). On the bright side, I love the 3D mounts @WheresWaldo designed so I could mount my Fly6 and hotshot on GoPro mounts-I got his 3D topeak rack double gopro adaptor for my commuter for a slick install without zipties or duct tape. The road bike got a gopro saddle rail adaptor and I can switch the fly6 between bikes just using a thumbscrew (and I can still have a saddle bag on the road bike).

@WheresWaldo I have a Trek Madone 9 and would be interested in purchasing an out in front mount for the Wahoo ELEMNT.

Just ordered the Cycliq Fly6V Adapter Pack. Had to buy it direct from Cycliq as they have zero distribution. They say it could take two weeks to arrive. As soon as I finish reverse engineering the mount I will sell the entire adapter pack, most likely on eBay. At that time, if anyone in the U.S. is interested in additional Cycliq mounts, just let me know, and I will be happy to deal with you.
Plan in doing the usual GoPro style adapters incorporating the design suggestions I have gotten as feedback. They will all be slightly lower profile and stiffer than the current models.
With regard to the Madone 9 and Wahoo ELEMENT mounts. A rider sent off the supplied Garmin mount that Trek uses and I plan to model it with the Wahoo ELEMENT quarter-turn mount in place of the Garmin mount. Hoping it arrives early this week so I can have something available by the end of the week.

Okay, with the help of a dedicated Madone rider and Wahoo for providing 3D models of their mounts I now have Wahoo ELEMNT mounts that fits both the Madone 9 Series as well as any bike that has the Bontrager Blendr mounts. In order to compensate for the extra size of the Wahoo ELEMNT the mounts are intentionally longer and marginally wider that the original TREK Garmin mounts. They use all the original Trek hardware. These are just the arms not the entire mount.

OK I did a google image search. It seems likely that it will fit. If not, it won't need much tweaking.
I need to do another variant for at least one of my bikes, my pannier is hiding it now.

I ordered the mount kit from Cycliq. Their system of accessories and ordering sucks, no indication of how or when it ships, or even reciept of payment. Supposed to be here in two weeks. I will let you know if I find any differences.

Mail came at 2 pm and then spent the rest of the day modeling the new mount for the Cycliq Fly6 Gen 2. Variations are now up for Specialized SWAT, Fizik ICS, GoPro as well as the Trek Madone Series 9. You can see them all here.

Okay, after doing a bunch more research I find out that the Adapter Packs are for Gen 2 and not the Fly6[v]. Nothing is clear on the Cycliq site. Their text just says it is not for the Original Fly6 without actually saying which versions it is for.

I think the Cycliq Fly6[v] needs some sort of snap on clip in order to get a GoPro style mounting option. I tried asking a question on their forum but it is impossible to get any response from Cycliq. Their distribution network in the US is sorely lacking, my two closest dealers (40 and 70 miles away) are non-stocking dealers (name only). I can't even look at one close up. While many are praising the security of the connection to the seatpost now, they sure are unfriendly toward any third party alternative mounts. I will figure out a way to give us riders what we want, but it might take a while.

Awesome mounts you have! Any chance you could do a Specialized SWAT mount for a Cygolite Hotshot, but with the mount pulled up and away from the saddle in order to keep space for a quick release style saddle bag? You have one of this style for a Cateye mount (Specialized SWAT / Cateye Extended 90° Adapter (C5AVYQCFG) by bud_hammerton), but nothing for a Hotshot.
Thanks!
