Anyone in northeast France?

Hi,

This is probably a long shot but I was wondering if anyone was around the northeast of France, particularly Ardennes. I've done a few rides and it's been great, and would love to meet up with some people to explore the region. I'll probably be sticking around for at least another 7-10 days before I head out on a little tour of auvergne, massif central and the tarn gorge. Since I'm not currently working I have everyday free so let me know when you want to go ride. Have no car so somewhere within riding distance or Rocroi would be nice.

Do not live in that part of France, but I've ridden in the area.. Lille.. And I know the Ardennes... Awesome riding... Should you be hanging out in any given city, seek out the local bike club. They are everywhere.. I assume you know some French.. They will welcome you... Bike clubs are affiliated with this organization... This site makes them easy to locate... Just choose your city...

Should you get down to Roussillon give us a shout..

Thanks for the link. I've finally moved from the Ardennes to Lyon, and I have found a local club here for cyclotourism which holds two weekly rides. Unfortunately my bike is still in Ardennes, but I should be heading back to pick it up within the next month or so.

I never imagined how hard it is to find a used city bike here in Lyon! Any suggestions?

Used bikes. A bike forum friend is about go to Spain to start a tour.. He has the same question.! I'd ask at the various bike shops.. I often see publicity at such shops advertising the sale of used bikes. An occasional shop sells used bikes. Here in Perpignan I've seen used bikes for sale at the Veloland store. Stores that take trade in's seem to sell used bikes..
Not that Veloland has such a policy at all it's stores, but here in Perpignan they do.
ps. How's the riding about Lyon.? I've been there. It's pretty congested. But, you are close to the Alps.?
I've also seen used bike sold by members of the various members among the affiliates of the ffc association.
The ffc , that is an amazing organization. Such a concentration of bike clubs. Amazing..You can easily find a bike club to suit your interests. Great people too.
