AN INTERNATIONAL OPEN CALL

The aims of the Europe Peace Tour - 2011 – an international bicycle tour:

Our aim to make a stand for the peace-loving communities. Although the majority of mankind are against armament and wars, we do not send a straight-forward, clear message about our opposition, but we let a powerful minority manipulate us. Wake up! This is the time to co-operate and object.
Our aim is to spread a new kind of global conscientiousness that refuses all forms of widely-used and accepted violence.
Our aim is not only to determine human rights in theory, in campaigns, but to make them be used and obeyed.
Our aim is to make wars finish immediately: governments sign non-aggression pacts with each other, and give up wars as the possible device of resolving conflicts. It should be amended in their constitutions.
Our aim is to achieve that the countries owning nuclear weapons start reducing armaments simultaniously and proportionally.
Our aim is to promote and strengthen intercultural discussions, to emphasize mutual purposes and accomplishments of good-will.

Counties involved: Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, The Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia.
The speciality of Europe Peace Tour - 2011 is that the route itself draws a huge peace sign. Having accomplished the tour, it will be the biggest virtual peace sign in the world.


Planned events during the tour:

In the focus of the tour, in Prague (29-31 July) and also at the destination, in Budapest (09-11 Sept) we plan to organize an international peace festival
We are also planning further programs and events in the above-listed countries, into the organizing process we would like to involve the local citizens and communities.

Peace-by bike as an association, and Europe Peace Tour - 2011 as a bicycle tour are open to everyone: every person, comission, organization, community, team, institution and firm, who vigorously agree with the spirit of this initiative.
You can join the whole or just some parts of the itinerary, the planned programs and events.


Our intention is to spread the news of the tour to the majority of the people in the world, but primarily to the populations of the countries the tour is going to go through. Therefore we ask everyone who likes the idea - persons, the press – to publish the international initiative of Peace-by bike, and sponsor Europe Peace Tour - 2011 according to their means and connections.
